I just purchased a 15 in. iMac G4 1GhZ the last of the iMac G4's The computer runs fine and has a line of stuck green pixels on the screen cant really notice but.. when the iMac wakes from sleep the screen is scrambled like a T.V pulling in a bad channel anybody have a clue on how to fix this?? I got a good deal on the iMac could this be why?

Yes. When the iMac G4 arms are moved too abruptly or pushed to their extremes, the screen goes entirely green. In cases when this occurred too frequently or too harshly, screen damaged would result (as I've seen happen several times from my workplace where we had over 500 iMac G4s prior to upgrading to over 500 iMac G5s last year).

I get the feeling that your iMac may have been unfortunately abused. Hopefully, it is in a better home, though.

Its kinda funny how we talk about these things as pets, its not a big deal it only does it when the screen goes off all I have to do is shut it down. But it still bugs me a little. I dont think she abused it and I know I wont
