Just like that...
The last thing I remember doing was installing mysql and going to bed. I woke up, rebooted, and no bluetooth! Good thing my roommate has a usb keyboard and mouse.

I tried booting into firmware and doing a "reset-all"
The imac doesn't even see its' own internal bt module.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

In your head.
Two threads on simular topics with in two days.

Look here and try the advice sans battery.

Is the bluetooth just not showing up under bluetooth, or is it not showing up under bluethooth and USB->bluetooth?

Sounds like a hardware issue.

This is really odd, mostly because it seems both prevelent, two issues in two days, and rare (nothing on google).

If you decide to reinstall and go back to Panther, and the BT adaptor dosn't show up, it's a hardware issue.

Perhaps there is a FirmWare upgrade your missing. I don't know. I just want to be helpful.

I searched for simular problems and I havn't really seen anything other than Tiger and BT causing Kernal pannics from time to time.

for anyone else with the same problem:

just download the latest firmware update from apple's site and install. can take up to 30 minutes. a restart later, and i'm back.
