The city of Macintosh :)
Hello everyone.

While doing a bit of research I found that the iMac G5 is supposedly only a PowerPC processor. My iMac G5 with iSight says it is Intel core 2 duo. I am confused because it runs snow leopard but apparently it cannot run it, and I want to reformat it.

Can someone please set straight my confusion?

By definition, the iMac G5 was the last iMac to have a Power PC chip, which will not run Snow Leopard.

If you look under System Profile/About This Mac, and you see Intel Core Duo under CPU, you don't have a G5.
