iMac GPU question. And RAM.

is it true that the 21 high end and 27 base has 2500 graphics card type and the high end 27 has 2400 type?


and can i change the RAM on the 21 high end to 16 GB? can i do it myself?

Not sure what you mean about the graphics cards.. the graphics in the 27" are better than what's in the 21" though.

You can change the ram to 16gb on your own very easily. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1423 should still apply.

WTF!
The top 3.1 Ghz 27" iMac has a cheaper i5-2400 CPU, than the low-end 27" and high-end 21.5", with both have i5-2500S processors!
(The i5-2400 is 184$ and the i5-2500S is 216$)


+ the 2500S can do 3.7 Ghz in turbo, and the 2400 can only 3.4 Ghz in Turbo Mode!!!???

You misunderstood CPU with GPU

i5 and i7 have nothing to do with the GPU

Err ... the 2400 and 2500 is processor type

i5 - 2500S is 2.7Ghz with 65 Watt TDP --> hi-end iMac 21¨/base iMac 27¨
i5 - 2400 is 3.1Ghz with 95 Watt TDP --> hi-end iMac 27¨

It´s not graphic processor .. but the main processor
