I did a software update last night and the firmware update attempted to install. Unfortunately, it errors out with the message:

Necesary resources are missing, corrupt, or do not have the correct permissions. Delete the iMac Graphics Firmware Update and re-download it and run again.

I did what it said but the error keeps coming back. Help please!!

So at first you tried running the firmware update via Software Update? When you say you did as they suggested did you run Software Update again or did you try downloading the firmware patch?

Because if not that is certainly what I would start with.

Thanks for the suggestions, I tried both running Software Update again and just manually downloading and running the update.

Unfortunately, same results. :(

which OS?

Edit: I'd probably run repair permissions, run fsck, and probably update dyld cache.

I'm having the same trouble!!! I keep getting

"Necessary resources are missing, corrupt, or do not have the correct permissions."

It's driving me crazy. Did anyone find a solution?

Cheers
