Hello all!
I am having a strange issue of a graphics lag on my iMac. I have tried everything that I am aware of to resolve/figure out the cause but it has me beat. It is hard to describe and seems to have cropped up since the 10.5.8 update and is noticeable during spaces changes etc. It just doesn't seem as fast or smooth as it was before 10.5.8 although I have to say I don't remember noticing it right after the update. Here are the steps I have taken to resolve:
1) Repair Disc Permissions
2) Re-Download combo update for 10.5.8
3) Reset PRAM and SMC (not that I expected that to resolve)
4) Run Tech-Tool Deluxe (all tests past including surface scan)
5) Booted my MacBook Pro into target disc mode and booted from that drive and could NOT get the lag to appear
This makes me believe that it is a software issue somewhere but despite searching I have been unable to see anyone else describe what I am experiencing.
Machine specs:
24" Alu iMac
3.06GHz
4GB 800MHz RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800GS
Any help would be appreciated!
