Hi all

It seems over the past few days that my mac seems to be having some odd problems. I've been experiencing problems such as the beach ball loading icon coming on for 20 seconds or so, every few minutes or so, itunes songs playing, then simply stopping for a few seconds then continued play again.

Now it hasn't been happening non stop, but it comes and goes. When the problem first occurred i tried an erase and fresh install of Snow Leopard, and for about a day or so it seemed ok, but seems like the problems are back again.

Now say if this is a hard drive problem, i am looking to upgrade the drive myself as i've seen a few videos and tutorials online, and i should be able to handle them.

I have a iMac7,1, its a few years old, but still enough. Now i was looking to upgrade to a SSD the ( G.Skill Falcon 128GB SSD ), would this be possible to place inside my iMac and be compatible ?

Many thanks

Most SSDs are 2.5" while iMacs use 3.5" drives so you needs something like this. I would ask Apple to check what is wrong before doing it though, that doesn't sound a HD issue
