I see that Toshiba and LG have HD DVD (internal) drives. Is there any possibility of purchasing an external enclosure for these and hooking them up to the iMac for HD DVD viewing?

I don't know how much those internal drives cost but it may be cheaper to buy an Xbox 360 drive. I have one and use it under Boot Camp on my MBP. With any luck, 10.5.2 will finally add the promised HD DVD support.

The XBOX 350 HD DVD drives plays back SD DVD's in Leopard, however HD DVD playback does not work yet and as far as I know, there are no programs that read it on Mac yet.

Has anyone tried running Parallels or VMware to run something like Cyberlink's DVD Ultra (which can read HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs)?

My assumption is that it wouldn't work because the PC side wouldn't recognize the Xbox360's HD-DVD player? Still, I just wanted to ask.
