Hiya all , simple question , i have my new iMac 06 model , 20'' got it from ebay perfect bargin ,

basicaly i have no internal hard drive, booting off external 500GB , but the fan speed for the internal hard drive is running at 4700RPM , as u can imagine this is abit of an anoyance , i was wondering if there is any way to cut that down to half that ? ... tried SMC Fan controls etc , no luck

Love Emma xx

Try using Fan Control, just search for it on google. The only difference is, it will lower all your fan speeds, not just one.

have thought i might try connecting the heat sensor to another area of the mac to see if it will spool down a little , Emma x
