So my iMac G5 superdrive is having real problems. Recently it stopped accepting CD's and DVD's. The discs go in most of the way into the drive but then stop and the drive spits it back out. I don't have Applecare so that's not an option. I already tired to solve the problem by restarting the SMU which I read sometimes works. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix my problem or does this mean my superdrive is dead? If this means my superdrive is dead what is a inexpensive replacement external drive. Thanks for all your help.
