Hi guys,

I currently own the top 2017 iMac with 4.2GHz i7, 580 Pro 8GB, 40GB RAM. I do web design, coding, photography. I also play a lot of Destiny 2, and with the announcement that there will be cross-save functionality coming in September (Destiny 2: Shadowkeep), I'd be keen to play more on my Mac (Bootcamp). I did install bootcamp on my current iMac and was able to play pretty damn nicely at 1440p with the Radeon Pro 580 8GB it came with.

So I'm wondering if anyone with a 2019 i9 + Vega 48 has been able to test Destiny 2 and see what resolution + frame rate they're able to squeeze out of it? I doubt you will get full 4K, however maybe somewhere between 1440p and 2160p, like 1800p?

Many thanks in advance.

Scott

Sorry to resurrect the post on you but did you ever get big frame drops while playing? I am using the latest mbp with the i9 cpu, 32gb of ram and the upgraded 8gb graphics card. It runs mostly smooth at 60 frames in 1440 medium but drops to around 20 frames a second for a second or two every 20-30 seconds. I’ve set the setting to the lowest possible with the lowest resolution as well to fix it but it seems to happen the same amount.
