Opened the box last night and got the iMac up and running - after saving £500 in the Apple store by being advised to down grade  which I am quite impressed by.

Initial registration - could not connect to wireless
Installed Leopard, OK
Connected to Wireless, OK
Download and install skype, OK
Run Skype, OK
Connect Nano, OK
Open iMovie, Crash - sent to Apple
Open iMovie, Crashed again

Do I need to run a full software update???

On the flip side iMax 20" and wireless KB and mouse is just awesomely sexy :apple:

Make sure you download the latest software updates. Go to the Apple menu, and select 'Software Update...'

Download and install everything. You may need to restart. If that doesn't work, put in your install CD's that came with your Mac and choose 'Utilities' > 'Disk Utility' once it loads (can take a few minutes). Once disk utility opens, select 'Macintosh HD' in the source pane on the left, choose 'First Aid' on the left, and finally select 'Repair Permissions'.

Once it has finished, go to the Apple menu again, and choose restart. If you are prompted to select a start-up disk, choose 'Macintosh HD'.

Let us know how you get on.
