Hi all,
I am getting ready to install Windows XP on my iMac so as you all know, I installed Boot Camp first. This is where my problem is, since installing Boot Camp (I have not yet installed XP), my iMac is extremely slow. It's boot up time to OS X has gone from a nice and quick 18 seconds to a whopping 56 seconds. I portioned 30Gb for XP and left the remaining 130Gb for OS X if that matters. I am just wondering if this is normal for this to happen on the first few boots after installing Boot Camp, I have booted three times since, first after Boot Camp install, second after security update and third time just to see if it remained slow. Will it go back to normal soon or will it stay like this? If it stays like this I think I will just pass on XP.
Has anyone else had this problem or is this not a problem at all?
