I travel with my iMac a lot and would like to keep the original power cord and other wires always plugged up and only have to move the computer. I have tons of old power cords that fit into any random PC or Printer.

Will these work on the iMac and will it cause any potential problems?

Thanks for the help.

Yep, they'll work fine, with no problems. If your plug has a replaceable fuse (such as is used in the UK) check that - 5A should be sufficient.
