I'm wondering how decent the internal speakers sound on the new iMacs?
I'm going to be getting an iMac in a few weeks - but don't want to use external speakers for listening to iTunes. I'm not an audiophile so I'm not expecting to be blown away, but I'm hoping the sound is better than the tin-can sound that my PowerBook puts out.

It a given that the speakers in the iMac will sound better. They are bigger for one thing. If you are not expecting audiophile sound you will be fine.

They're surprisingly good. A little light in the bass department, though.

More bass then I expected. Plenty of volume. Sound good to me.

They're not bad at all. I would have to agree that the bass is a little low but otherwise they're great.
