My iMac G5 PPC is going into sleep mode when surfing to some webistes like YouTube or othher sites where Flas or shockwave is needed. It's already our second iMac G5 PPC 17" within a few months. The first one had fan problems and monitoring it with iStats show temps of 80C and fanspeed of 5700 RPM.
Working normal causes no problems but going to YouTube and look at a video is almost directly a problem.
Any idea to solve this problem?

Are you using Safari or Firefox? Try the same videos/sites with a different web browser.

What OS? Leopard? If it's Panther, that's the problem, b/c you don't have the latest updates for it to work.

Its overheating.

Take a can of compressed air to it. If that fails, its time for a service call.

this is a prob with all the low cpu speeded macs
the flash movies you watch require lots of power to be viewed
so the computer runs faster etc
dont really think there is a solution
has anyone found out a way to watch a youtube vid on a macbook air without burning their legs to a crisp
