Is the integrated mic in the new iMac suitable for recording podcast? they dont have to be professional quality or anything just useable. Thanks

According to what I've read, they're the same old Mics any Mac/iSight has in them, which are very usable and pick things up that are very far away and faint (sometimes a bad thing!).

People will hear you, but it doesn't sound incredibly great. I mean, even a cheap dynamic computer mic would probably sound better.

Well it depends...i think, if u want to produce a good quality podcast, i don't think that built in mic would do any good...

If you're planning on recording your podcast in Garageband, no.

Quote Apple's website:

"Note: The iSight camera is not supported as a microphone input in GarageBand."

So you might wanna rethink that if you're recording in Garageband.
