Imac late 2013

Hi all,
While replacing the HDD with a SSD on my late 2013, 21,5", reais the screen fell and now its not working. I thought of conecting a second display via thunderbolt but i cant see the OS to make the necessary changes. Is there any way i can get the 2nd display connected and working with a keyboard key or something like that? Thx in advance!

If the internal display is damaged and not working, remove it and unplug it from the logic board. Then it should recognize the external display as the only display and use it as the primary.

I was really hoping this would do the trick, but unfortunately it didnt work.
Also, the 4th green light was still off (ive read somewhere that thats the light that shows the screen is on?) thanks none the less!

Also, is there a difference on the two thunderbolt outputs on the imac? I tryied both anyways with no luck.

Hi,
So, I connected an adapter (mini DP to HDMi from the iMac thunderbolt port, the adapter connects to a good hdmi cable to a hdmi to VGA adapter to an Epson VGA port. Its a EX3210 projector without hdmi port, hence the adapter. Ive connected an android tv box or an Apple Tv box and it works fine. Thx Hieu!

Before you give up, try a different cable.
I would suggest eliminating the in-line adapters. Try a mDP to VGA cable, to connect directly from the iMac to the projector.
