Cheers!
I have a late 2015 iMac with some updated specs.
For the past 2 days I've had problems starting it up.
I try to start it up in the morning, nothing. Like it didn't have power. Not a sound, a click, nothing.
Then I remove the peripherals nothing.
I remove the power cable from power socket and iMac, nothing.
Then I leave it for 5 minutes. Nothing.
Then I turn it around and vacum the vents and it starts to work normally.
When It starts it works completely normally. It's weird. Really weird.

This Yesterday. Today, when I fiddled around with the vents it also didn't start, but when I removed the power cable for 5 minutes. It started normally. Is it possible that it's connected with updates?

Thanks for the help folks.

I notice that you have 32GB of RAM. Was this added when new by Apple or have you added RAM after ? It’s a long shot but I would remove any 3rd Party RAM and see if you have the same problem. I have the same iMac as you and mine is fine.

Huh! That could work. Would also explain that it starts to work fine when I remove the power supply for a few minutes.
The RAM is the same from the start though.

Or is could be one of the RAM modules is not in firmly and vacuuming moves it slightly, certainly sounds like a loose connection somewhere.

Yeah it does!

Yeah! A loose connection for sure! But wouldn't a problematic RAM at least start the computer and get stuck while booting? The weird no power thing bothers me.

This sounds suspiciously like a bad power supply. If the RAM checks out, then that's the next thing to check.
