Hello hello. So I got a 20" iMac. It is fantastic. I pop in the Matrix Reloaded DVD to see how it looked and bam, a pixel stuck green. I remembered reading about the massage and blasting techniques(videos flashing colors). Tried both to no avail.

I didn't really pay attention before to know if it was like this or not, but now there is a dark area around the stuck pixel. I notice it during the white boot screen with the Apple and the stock blue background. It isn't really noticeable elsewhere. I will get a picture up as soon as possible but does anyone know what would cause this?

FYI: I got this used, so I can't return it or anything. I could only try to get AppleCare to fix it.

Thanks for your help.

The flashing video is highly likely to have done this. The pixels around the area you started rapidly flashing got stressed.
