According to Amazon.com, the upgrade program for Leopard ends on 12-29-07. Does this mean that all iMacs and other Macs sold after the 29th on Amazon will come with Leopard pre-installed?

I thought it meant if Leopard isn't in the box or on the machine already that Apple won't let you get a "free" upgrade. PP&H still charged.

i bought an iMac, a few days ago, and it didnt have leopard in the box, i still had to pay 5.95£ really really anoying!

i'd say you got screwed !

every apple sold since Leopard hit the shelves should come with a drop-in DVD or have Leopard pre-installed.

i've bought an iMac, Mac Mini, and Macbook in the last month and all came with Leopard.

it was bought from currys digital, they clearly have no idea about anything mac!

You're wrong.

why am i wrong ? i was told this by apple customer service and the manager at my local apple store where i bought my last 3 macs (all 3 came with leopard)

i guess if some reseller decides not to include it that's their option.

Because CLEARLY that is not the case for any machine bought outside of the Apple store. And the entire reason why the upgrade program still exists on Apples website.

the Keyword here is "Reseller'

I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM A RESELLER.

ok guys, stop the arguing! Resellers can be good, as can apple!

what concerns me, suppose some resellers have had a large inventory of macs which they want to clear before selling the ones with leopard preinstalled (understansable!) but after the end of december, all buyers will not be able to get a leopard upgrade... and will have to pay £85.
