imac/macbook pro memory question

If I were to upgrade my current generation C2D macbook pro to 8Gig, would the 4Gig that's in it now fit in a current generation C2D iMac? The two memory sticks look awful similar on the crucial website. They both seem to be 204-pin SODIMM PC3-8500 DDR3 1066MHz.

Sure. Might wanna doublecheck cas latencies, but other than that it seems safe.

Some memory on newegg advertises it works in imacs and macbook pros, so I guess it should be fine.
