iMac,MacBook Pro Speaker comparison

I have the 24” iMac and current MBP 16” and the iMac is the better one. But as someone who enjoys audio it’s to be expected give that the speakers have more surface area and fire downward resulting in a wider soundstage vs the MBP design which is the opposite. Awesome speakers for a laptop but would much rather use the iMac. For movies I’ll AirPlay to an amp that powers my floor standing speakers.
I’m actually surprised to read that the iMac is better. I have the 24” iMac and it‘s definitely good sound, but my iPad Pro 12.9” for example is a lot better I think.
Audio is always subjective. Some people think louder is better or are attracted to certain frequencies more than others. Someone could easily say the opposite of what I did and it would be valid to them which is all that matters.
