iMac Magic Mouse trade for Trackpad?

Hi all,

I just purchased a new iMac but I don't really have a need for the mouse...should've opted out when ordering but w/e...

I was wondering if anyone has had luck exchanging the mouse that came with their mac with a trackpad at the apple store? Curious because as you know the mouse doesn't come with its own packaging when bought with a computer...

update...took mouse to apple store and they allowed a return and exchange for trackpad...had to pay the price difference of $50
