Imac Maintenance???

I have had my iMac for about 6 months now and its been great so far but I am wondering if i should start doing some cleaning on my iMac yet? I do have Onyx installed but I am not entirely sure how to use it correctly so that i don't mess my hard drive up. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should to keep it running good?

Cocktail is a great app.

I would say dont worry about it when your computer starts to run slowly then look at a program like cocktail.

I'm a big fan of Cocktail, but I know there are other free programs like Onyx that do similar things for free.
