iMac makes click noise when shut down

Hi Guys,

Just bought a new 21.5 3.2ghz imac (mid 2010), just wondering if tis normal, each time i press shut down i hear a click once before it shuts off, it usually occurs when it changes to the blue screen with the spinning circle line! just wondering if anyone else experiencing this or if its normal??

That's the drives cutting off. Perfectly normal, sir/ma'am.

ohh okok! do u hear that in all imacs?

I hear that in every desktop Mac I've used, save for Mac Mini's.

iMacs with the Seagate 1 TB drive do this. The 1 TB Western Digital in mine does not.
