iMac mic in Windows XP (Bootcamp).

Is it just me or is the mic on the iMac in Windows XP incredibly faint? Is it just a bug in Bootcamp? It sounds great in Mac OS X but in Windows I can barely hear myself (when I record to test it) or they can't hear me and I have the mic all the way up.
