Hello ,
I am using imac.
There should be a default display color which will be suitable for imac programmer.
Displays are very good for images , but while programming we do not need such bright displays on such big screen monitor.
I tried to caliberate new color .But still it is bright.
Is their any display setting help for decreasing brightness and contrast of monitor.

Thasks.

The brightness can be decreased from "System Preferences", under "Displays".

Additionally, some people find it useful to invert the screen by pressing CONTROL + OPTION + COMMAND + 8 at the same time. Give it a try.

hi itickings,
Thanks for reply.
Xcode has white background and even though we use dim color, brightness and contrast of white color background is still there.

Ctl+opt+cmd+8 is a good solution.

I feel like I'm stating the obvious here, but have you tried selecting a different background colour for your edit windows? Choose a light grey, or even be a bit adventurous and go for a salmon pink, lemon chiffon or even plush velvet.:)
