Hello all,
I have been having this issue with my monitor (see attached pics). I have an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) with El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G31). If you cannot see the pics, I can describe the problem as follows:
A few dozen little black and white boxes appearing in a semi checkered pattern. boxes are bigger than pixels (probably a few dozen "pixels" wide and long). These boxes jump around different parts of the monitor. They are sometimes black, grey and white. they appear in any window (not necessarily on the log in window).
I have no idea what is causing it. I have disabled everything I could think of (flux, etc.). I reinstalled the iOS El Cap from scratch (erased everything and reinstalled) and re transferred all my docs again (reinstalled all software back one by one as well). It happened again right after reinstalling El Cap with factory default settings. Which leads me to believe it might be hardware, but hoping is software.
Do you have any idea of what this could possibly be? I tried searching but it is rather difficult to describe this issue.
Thanks
