Hello all - Just ordered a 2019 3.7 Ghz i5 27" and 32GB of OWC RAM to go inside. This will be my first mac so I have a question that maybe stupid to some.

It appears Apple ships with (2) 4GB strips, so do I have to remove these or can I leave them in for a total of 40GB? If I can leave them in are there any suggestions for how I insert or stagger the RAM?

Specific RAM I ordered - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MP3Y8QN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can leave them in and have 40 GB RAM, lots of people here have. Just put them in the empty spots, no need to change anything that's already installed.

You can leave the original RAM in for a total of 40 GB. Just simply putting the new RAM into the two empty slots should be fine.

Thanks all for you quick response and assistance - Certainly appreciate your time
