iMac Podcast Notification’s Greyed Out

Trying to get Podcast notifications turned on.
When I open up Podcasts on iMac Monterey, in the upper left of the screen I click on Podcast/notifications, it takes you to the new episodes screen. All the podcasts I follow show up there, but the screen is greyed out. I can not turn those notifications on, to alert me for new episodes.
Any ideas why this screen is greyed out?

I was able to fix it by subscribing to a NEW podcast on the Mac and then it prompts to turn on notifications for Podcasts.

Yes…i actually started by going through Apple Support. No help. They were clueless.
However a couple of months ago, Monterey release 12.4 fixed the problem. No problems since.
