Greetings...
General question. My Older Graphite is working fine. I filled each slot with a 128 card. Is running on Os X.2.8 No problems.

Can I pull the two 128 cards and then

1. put in a bigger single memory card (say a 256) in one of the slots? (If so, does Apple sell them?)

2. Can I then install an Airport card in the other slot? (I think I need an adapter).

Want to get a few more miles out of this machine. It just keeps working.

I'm very confused. So this is an iMac? You're asking if you can remove your 2 DIMMs and install an airport card into one of the RAM slots? WTF?

iMac G3

Yeah, I up graded. So both of the two available slots are now filled. So I know that I will need one of those slots for the Airport card. My question is can I pull the two 128 cards and replace them with one 256?

First of all, you are very confused. You do not install the airport card into the RAM slots. The airport card is installed into the airport card slot. I'm not sure what iMac you have, but it sounds like a slot loading iMac G3 Graphite.

If so, you need an airport card as well as the airport adapter before you can install it in your iMac. The RAM slots have nothing to do with it. Both RAM slots can be filled and you can still install an airport card. I'd personally recommend at least 512mb of RAM.
