Ignore me. It was the education discount - for some reason. I just went to Apple.com in my browser and it redirected me there.

*sigh*

Why on earth is it redirecting me to the education pricing? So weird.
if I understand all the rules, you should be able to buy it at that price. I did the same thing and the same thing happened to me. BUT, I went as far as checkout and no education qualifications showed up, so sounds to me like  boo-booed and one could get one today for $400 off.

When you buy at that price, you must accept the terms and conditions which state you are either an educator or a student.

Yep, really weird that it took us into the education store. But I did find out that because of my sisters assoc. with a University, I can use the education discount. I am in chat as I type with an apple specialist.

It must have been a mistake. I get Ed. discount and if you go to the top left you can exit out of the ed store. Once you do the price is $4995 as always. Must have been a screw up.
