Can someone help me please?

Someone is selling an iMac Pro (2017) 2.3GHz 18-Core Intel Xeon / 128Gb RAM / Vega 64 16G / 2TB SSD full boxset together with keyboard, trackpad and mouse for about 1400USD.

However the iMac Pro monitor has a noticeable dark/pink tint on all its 4 edges in white or light background (the attached pictures show the screen in grey and white background respectively at 50% brightness).

Is this iMac Pro still worth buying? Is this still a good buy?

I would imagine that part of the reason this is up for sale is the faulty display. You should figure out how much it will cost to replace and add that to the purchase price.

Factoring in parts and labor for the repair, you’re looking at at least $2000 for a 5-year old computer.

I personally would not buy this, but I don’t know what your intended use case for this machine is.

Couldn't you just use an external display as your reference quality display, and use the iMac display as somewhere to put notes and browsers and stuff?

As others have said, I would pass. I would look at a M1 Pro MacBook Pro ( which is more money, but will last a lot longer) which would run rings around the iMac Pro, unless you need to run Windows via bootcamp.
