Hi Everybody!

Is it a good buy to get a discounted base model of the iMac Pro discounted to $4K to use the software mentioned in the title?

Sketchup 2018, V-ray, Lightup, Illustrator and Photoshop are my main use for this machine.

I will be upgrading from a 2014 iMac 5K.

Thanks for your advice.

Gus

Yes, the jump from 4 core to 8 will be awesome. not sure about Vray with AMD GPU though. But for the Adobe Suite, you will be just fine. I use a similar suite of software Rhino 3d, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Maxwell. All want the most cores you can afford.

Do you know if sketchup can take advantage of the extra cores or the GPU? Does the rendering engine for V-ray or Lightup?

Thanks!
