All,

Been having a problem that seems to have coincided with the latest Mojave beta update 10.14 Beta (18A347e).

All of a sudden, while doing very little, my iMac Pro fans will speed up. My iMac Pro is silent almost always! So I look at TG Pro app, and the GPUs are running near max temperature!

I kill all my apps... and it's still running hot. So it's not a cryptocurrency miner running in my browser (lol).

Is there any way to tell what apps/processes are using the GPU? The Activity Monitor only reflects CPU... so you could have a app (malware even!) load up into the GPU and unless you saw the temperature increase, you'd never know.

Thoughts? I've used the feedback assistant to send the info to Apple but that's a one-way street, I'll never know if it leads to anything.

Apple Support for beta OS or programs is different than regular support page. You can contact them from here;

https://developer.apple.com/support/

Also, you can track gpu activity with 3rd party apps like iStat Menus.

Thanks. If I decide I need assistance from Apple I'll be doing it through the beta site.

With regards to iStat Menus: It doesn't give any sensor data that TG Pro doesn't have, and it just shows GPU power consumption. It might allow me to see if TG Pro and iStat ~agree~ on the temperatures, but I can't see how it's going to help me find what process is using the GPU more than other processes. Not even sure that's feasible.
