Wow, that sure didn't take long! That's a great deal for those in the market for one.

As an FYI MicroCenter can order a custom configuration Mac and, usually, be able to discount it from Apple's selling price. Not saying they can offer 20% off a custom order solution like this deal but it is something they offer.
 
Hummmm, Wonder if I should replace my '14 Mini and aging (Haswell/980) based gamer with this all-in-one.....

Probably not enough GPU horsepower for 5k gaming tho using Win 10.

WOW !!! I can't believe it, this is great! If that deal would be available in Europe, I would consider it. This is a great package. I can't say I am unhappy with what I have, but a black 5K display sure looks good on the desk.

Too bad the Microcenter deal is for in-store only purchase. But it gets people in the door who might purchase other items, and it creates a lot of good press for their name.
 
Wonder if B&H or somewhere else would price match the $4k Microcenter price and ship it tax free?

Right now the GPU drivers are basically beta except for pro apps, particularly in Bootcamp. Www.bootcampdrivers.com are working on unofficial iMac Pro drivers for Bootcamp that are more up to date, but MSI Afterburner doesn’t work yet, neither does Mac Fan Control.

If a product of this caliber can have 20% knocked off its retail price in less than a month from release that's problematic. This thing is priced WAY out of the market.
 
Microcenter does have a history of offering significant deals on Mac Products. That's a pretty impressive discount, sadly, I'm not in the market for such a product, nor can I afford to spend 4k on a comptuer. I use my iMac for home use, and connecting to my companies network/servers/computers remotely so I don't need Xeon processors for that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
