I need a second 27" display that I can use with my iMac Pro for client meetings. My goal is to mirror my iMac's display to a conference table with a second 27" monitor located about 6' away. This way I can review the project I'm working on with my clients in a comfortable environment. Right now, everyone gathers behind my desk, which is cramped and awkward.

That said, I'm so used to the quality of my iMac Pro's display, so I want a monitor that's as good or better. What do you experts recommend?

With Apple discontinuing its line of 27" iMacs, does it make sense to pick up an iMac as a second monitor instead of the LG Ultrafine 5K Display, which is difficult to find? Also, if I'm using another 27" iMac as a second display, does it really matter what kind of processor or graphics card it has? Thanks!

You can't use a 27" iMac as a second screen, at least not a recent one in any practical way.

Your best quality option now is the new 27" studio display, and take the long term view that it is an investment for the future, to pair with a future machine.

I assume you have reasons why you don't want to do what most do, which is connect HDMI to a large 4k TV monitor in a conference room.
