Just got a new iMacPro and notice after installing a few programs and rebooting after each time it is slow rebooting. Slower than my 2015 iMac 5K with 16GB of RAM. Also, after logging in, there seems to be another loading bar that happens. I do not recall seeing this on my older iMac or my current 2015 MBP.

Is this just a result of High Sierra or is there something going on with the iMac Pro?

It's likely there is nothing wrong with your hardware. MacOS is the likely culprit. With every single version release, things keep getting worse. My iMac Pro has booted slower with every new version release and I now also have to spend an additional 2-3 minutes getting the stock bluetooth accessories to work. (Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic TrackPad)

Oh...that is another thing. My Apple Bluetooth mouse and keyboard do not work for a couple of minutes after rebooting....

I heard there were issues with High Sierra, though I figured they were fixing get it with each point update. You are saying it is getting worst???

I unfortunately have to agree with Bryan. I have had nothing but escalating problems myself with my iMac Pro. I do not use the stock mouse / keyboard, but even then I have had issues with peripherals and the iMac Pro.

Here's hoping Mojave fixes this situation.

My iMac pro has not slowed down, although some of the peripherals can be finicky. I don't have a lot of things besides Apple stuff running on it. I see no issues with the Mac Keyboard and Trackpad short of the typical complaint thats its way too easy to mistype.

If you have a lot of RAM and have all the security features turned on, it can take much longer to run the boot tests.

My opinion, however, is that Apple is releasing a lot of software with bugs across the board, not only the Mac OS, and if you have a app or startup item or peripheral thats affected, then there could be trouble. I see backgrounds tasks like CCC and TimeMachine give the impression of a slow Mac more often with recent OS releases, iMac, MacPro, MacBook Pro, regardless.
