Hi all,

I have iMac Pro Late 2017. I had some performance issues and formatted my Mac. I have installed ventura but nothing changed. Mac boots slow and also runs slow. I did some tests and there's something strange. Write speed is faster than the read speed.

Do you think it's normal? If not, is there a way to fix it? Also, can you recommend anything about speed optimisation?

FYI, I have a second monitor.

Both read and write speeds are very fast and are not cause for concern or indicators of problems. Write speeds can often be faster than reads on SSDs, at least with smaller writes, since they can have write-caching where the write first gets stored to extra fast bits before later being flushed to the main cells.

Could you elaborate more on how exactly it runs slowly? Perhaps also give some screenshots from Activity Monitor, and check thermals on the iMac? Try running Apple Hardware Test
