I'm working on some video projects in Final Cut Pro, but none of my converted files will playback on my iMac Pro. First, I tried exporting videos in the h.264 format, and there would be constant stuttering when playing the video in Quicktime. The video won't play at all in VLC. There's audio, but the picture stays static.

I tried exporting the video as Apple ProRes 422, and that plays with zero issues. So I tried converting that via handbrake to h.264, and once again, it won't play in Quicktime or VLC.

Am I missing something obvious here? Why won't my iMac Pro playback these file types but has no problem with playing back ProRes in Quicktime/VLC? I exported from Final Cut Pro in h.264 via Export File and also via the YouTube preset.

The video is 4K/60, exported the same, and shot on an iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I copied one of the h.264 files over to my 2015 MacBook Pro, and the video plays flawlessly in Quicktime so it doesn't look like an issue with the export. It's like the iMac Pro just can't play these files.
