Hello - I know the official 'blurb' says the iMac Pro is coming in December but does anyone have any more information? Will it be available to order next month and delivery early next year, or will it be available to order this month, for delivery next? Thanks!

Maybe next week Apple will do a website update for whatever Black Friday special they’re gonna do and make the iMac pro and HomePod available for order and then we’ll know.

If the chips base clock speed is a low GHz but still turbo boost to 4.5, it should still have the same single core performance as the top of the line i7, right?

My prediction: Preorders will start Dec 22 with the official release date being Dec 29. Supply will be extremely limited and, in the rush to make their Dec 2017 commitment, have manufacturing and design issues that won't be worked out until March 2018. I expect heat issues and fan noise issues in the beginning. I might still get the base model even with all that because it is something I really want to get.

Thanks BurgDog. So basically you are recommending not to be an 'early adopter' and wait until March 2018?!

That is my advice. I may have a hard time taking my own advice.
Well, i’ll Be sure to check back with you when it actually launches then

it will probably end up being like the mac pro 2013 launch .. where it was towards the end of december with ship times well into 2018
Thanks, would be disappointing if that’s the case, you’d hope that Apple will be ready...
