When the new iMacs come out(getting one woohoo!) would I be able to get windows files and transfer them wirelessly through my wireless router? I just want to transfer all my itunes music from my parents windows to my iMac when I get it. Is this possible or do I have to use my ipod as an external and transfer them that way?

You can do that with old Macs (or with a pair of old Windows PCs for that matter) already. ;) That technology has been around for... more than five years.

Just bear in mind that transferring 20 or 30 gigabytes of files via wireless will not be overly fast...even if you have 802.11n on both sides.

it'd work, but it'd be much faster to use a USB drive or something. If it's formatted in FAT32, both machines can read and write to it, and if its NTFS, the PC can R/W, but the Mac can only read.

So you think just transferring it through an Ipod will be easier and quicker for transferring 10GB from a windows to an iMac? Just wondering whats better. Then when that is done I'm gonna rip DVD's nd put them on my ipod video!

LAN cable or just buy some dual layer dvds if your pc has a dvd writer. If not, use the iPod.

If you must wifi it I'd do it in small-ish chunks rather than all at once.
