I finally got to set up my Mac after all of that preparation moving things. :D I must say I am thoroughly impressed. Now questions from a windows state of mind.

1) I would like to burn a mp3 CD on Toast. My question is, Do I have to retitle all these audio tracks for them to be in sequence from lp to lp, if I am making a mp3 cd? If I move the tracks around, will it play them in the order i shuffle them? If not could you give me a walkthrough on how to do this?
Mucho Gracias if you can help :D

2) How do I get to the Computer Drives like the DVD Drive so I can see what's on a DISC's Contents? I would know if this was windows but... it's a new system for me :p

3) For fellow windows users what is the best way to copy and paste/click and drag? I think you understand my disorientation by not having a 2 button mouse.

4. Today while I was surfing my computer locked up on a site and froze completely? What is your best suggestion to get out of a freeze? I was kind of surprised.

5) Do you reccomend I use this DVD Burner alot on this computer or get a external one as to avoid the wear and tear of the DVD Drive?

6) What's the best place to go for tutorials which will explain OS X easier for me in the coming weeks? :D

7) Is there anyway I can make a computer sleep while downloading torrents? Usually I just turned off the monitor but this is different. And I usually run my torrents nightly when I am asleep. If you could help with this one, that would be great

Those are my 7 questions for now.

Why are you bothering with Toast? Use iTunes to make a playlist and then burn it... in fact use iTunes to play, manage, find, and organize your music as well.

2) How do I get to the Computer Drives like the DVD Drive so I can see what's on a DISC's Contents? I would know if this was windows but... it's a new system for me :p

Right click, choose show contents or whatever it is...

3) For fellow windows users what is the best way to copy and paste/click and drag? I think you understand my disorientation by not having a 2 button mouse.

Actually you have a four button mouse. You have to enable the right and left click (and the side and ball buttons) in System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse... you can set them to do all various sorts of things.

Alternatively, just as in the olden days when Macs actually had one button mice, hold down CTRL while clicking equates to right clicking, bringing up the contextual menus.

4. Today while I was surfing my computer locked up on a site and froze completely? What is your best suggestion to get out of a freeze? I was kind of surprised.

That's amazing, what site? Command + Option + Esc is the key combo to bring up the force quit dialog.

5) Do you reccomend I use this DVD Burner alot on this computer or get a external one as to avoid the wear and tear of the DVD Drive?

Use it, that's what its meant for.

6) What's the best place to go for tutorials which will explain OS X easier for me in the coming weeks? :D

You can set your Monitor and Hard Disk to sleep in System Preferences. This is entirely different from your Computer sleeping, which means it shuts off (but saves memory) - but that will stop your torrent downloads.

not really sure what you're asking here...

The DVD will load onto the desktop, or in the right left-hand column of all Finder windows.

3) For fellow windows users what is the best way to copy and paste/click and drag? I think you understand my disorientation by not having a 2 button mouse.
If it is a new iMac, it does have a 2 click mouse. Read here for more information

Go down to the Dock (the bar with the icons in it), right- or control-click the application, and if it says 'application not responding', click Force Quit. That should fix it most of the time.

5) Do you reccomend I use this DVD Burner alot on this computer or get a external one as to avoid the wear and tear of the DVD Drive?
Wear and tear is going to occur on whatever drive you use, but it will always be minimal. Apple put the drive in there so it could be used, so you might as well use it :)

6) What's the best place to go for tutorials which will explain OS X easier for me in the coming weeks? :D
The MacRumors guides are pretty good. Otherwise, search for topics in the forums. If you can't find anything, make a new thread, and someone should be able to help you.

F14 and F15 control the brightness of the display; if you turn them all the way down, the display should go off, or nearly off.

I hope that helped :)

I've been learning OS X through Lynda.com and other apps such as Photoshop 3, Aperture, Lightroom ect. You have to pay for the services but if you are creative you can find them MUCH cheaper.

For me I always use an external DVD Burner. The point, once again for me, is I Hate those slot loading drives in the Imac/Mac Mini. A second point for me is is the resale value. If one was to sell their computer in a year or so to get a new one, it is better to have that drive in the best shape it can be. last, but not least , you can get one from OWC or Newegg for about $100 not bad at all.

Assuming it isn't "broken" and I think that is a safe assumption, how in the world is your purchaser going to know what kind of shape the burner is in other then you telling them "I never use the thing?" It's there to be used, why spend any money upfront to buy what is already part of the machine?

well I can see your point. The main point for me was my dislike of the slot-loading drives that Apple has. The first time you put a CD/DVD that some body put a label on it or a CD that is thicker then normal and it gets jamed.

Note: For those you who think I am crazy when I say "Thick CD" should take a look at the older copy of Eric Clapton box set "Crossroads". I have no idea if in other productions run it was fixed but I went though and was converting all my CD's to Itunes on my IMac G5. I put the CD in and it stop half in, then was slowly pulled in and I never got it out again.

For me I just got a new MacPro and I am useing the DVD Burner the simple fact that they are so easy to replace in the MacPros, so it is no big deal if something breaks.

2. Just double-click on the icon and it'll show you. Or, open a new Finder window (under "File" menu).

3. I'm big into "Apple key + C" and "Apple + V" myself.
