Hey guys,

I searched the forum for some info on iMac RAM because something I read on your guides confused me. I didn't want to hi-jack the other guy's post so I made a new one.

I have a 27" 2010 iMac and Lion just tells me I need DDR3 1333Mhz memory. It also says I have 4 slots, of which 2 are filled with 2GB modules.

Now, the MacRumors Guides page on Mac RAM tells me I need SODIMM memory. I found some cheap RAM with great reviews, but it states that it is DIMM memory.

Wikipedia tells me SODIMM is small outlet DIMM memory, but I don't really know the difference between SODIMM and DIMM memory. Will DIMM work?

The memory is Kingston ValueRAM, 2 modules of 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz (PC3 10600) 240 pin.

CAS Latency (CL) 9
RAS-to-CAS-Delay (tRCD) 9
RAS-Precharge-Time (tRP) 9
Row-Active-Time (tRAS) 24

Also has Double Data Rate 3 memorytechnology.

Hope someone can clear this up for me, would be great!
So thanks in advance.
