I wanted to upgrade my ram on another imac my family has. Its a 2GHz intel core 2 duo (20", model iMac 7,1) If my memory serves me right it was the first gen. aluminum imac. When I go to about this mac I have 1 gig of 667 DDR2 SDRAM.
What is the maximum about of ram the computer can handle? I think it was 4 but I want to make sure before ordering.

Is this the correct package?

Thanks!

It supports up to 6GB unofficially. OWC does trade-in rebates if you want to send in the old RAM and save some money. NewEgg sells 2x2GB kit for 89$ if you want to save few $

Thanks!
Also another question since I don't have the computer in front of me; the iMac uses mini DVI correct. I want to hook up a 23" a cinema display.

thanks. I just had an idea... can the one gig stick of ram in the iMac be used in my powerbook? (see sig) its a rev. C G4?

imac 7.1 is using 200 pin 667 MHz PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM
pb g4 1,5 is using 200-pin 333mhz PC2700 DDR SDRAM
that should answer your question
