iMac RAM ?

So I just got a Mac..(iMac G3-400MHz--10GB HD)
And I HAVE to upgrade the memory, since it is running Tiger and it only has 128 megs of memory on it!
I went to the system profiler thing and it says that i have 2 - 64 meg ram sticks. But one of those ram sticks is ECC..and the other is non-ECC, i guess...since it doesnt say ECC.
I just ordered RAM online..non-ECC.
I wanted to keep one 64 meg of mem in it..should i keep the ECC or Non-Ecc RAM?

ECC is better than non-ECC, but better try it out and make sure it works right.

BTW, how much did you pay for your "new" iMac?

I got my iMac G3 on Ebay for like 65.99 with shipping.
Its pretty sweet.

ECC is not better than non ECC -- the iMac cannot utilize the ECC function of the RAM at all - it essentially shuts it off and uses only the first 8 bits.

You would be best to remove the ECC module as it is out of spec for that machine,
