I recently inherited a 2.16 Ghz Intel iMac w/ a 128mb x1600 and 1 gig of RAM and was wondering if this uses the same RAM as the Macbook Pro in my sig. I upgraded the Macbook pro a few weeks ago and have 2x 1gig ram modules left over that I'd like to put to use. Thanks.
 
Geech, I am not an expert, but what you could do, is put it into your G5, and see if it recognizes it...
I believe it will.
But before you try it, lets wait until someone else answer too :)

It should work, if I understand the models of iMac and MBP you are speaking of.

Notice the type of RAM that Crucial recommends for the models is the same:
