So , My iMac is on it's way (Will arrive in 6-7 Days .) , And I read that a lot of people are facing random shutdowns  , Is this issue widespread ? Or does it only exist in a small percentage of iMacs ? Should I worry about it at all ? Thanks.

I've had mine for about 4 days now, with xp on bootcamp as well, and my iMac hasn't shut down by itself once yet, its been running crisp!

6 Months and no problems!

Oh ! Thanks guys !That's great to hear ! I hope I don't have any problems too =) . I'm really excited about my iMac , I didn't want anything to ruin it for me xD .

it seems like moooostly random shutdowns is because of heat issues.....so if you DO get shutdowns do a iStat pro or temp monitor and just check.....that or bad PSU (ive had both hehehe on old G5 no problem tho apple fixed it all right up yay)
