Newb question... when a new imac is released, do they still sell the 'old' model? Do the prices go down? What about refurb prices?

The refurb prices should go down quite a bit.

And my guess, they're gonna be the best bet.

Of course prices will go down on refurbs. In my experience they stop selling the old model and drop the prices of the refurbs.

It can be a really odd time when new product ships. The old "A" product is reduced immediately, but the "B" product often lags making for the unusually spectacle of the "A" product being less expensive than the "B". (A and B product is retail lingo for new and refurbished, respectively).

Btw.. what exactly are refurbs?

Second hand/used things or what? Confusing :confused:

product that was sent back to the manufacturer because it was defective. They fixed it but can't sell it as new anymore. So they sell them discounted. The work and they have a warranty.
